What's New?
This release enhances alternative text support, refines the login screen experience, expands audit trail tracking, and introduces new GraphQL capabilities. Additionally, a new permission setting for inline editing provides greater control over content modifications. Read on for the full details.
Accessibility Improvements
Accessibility remains a key focus in XperienCentral as seen in the Roadmap 2025. We’ve extended alternative text support to lead images, allowing descriptive text as
captions. Previously, this was only for image elements. This enhances website
alignment with WCAG guidelines.
Formatting the Login Screen
We’ve introduced formatting options for the login screen announcement text and the company name in this release. These options, available via My Settings and the Setup tool, respectively, enhance the readability of important login information.
Audit Trail
The audit trail now tracks changes in modular content elements and metadata, covering both content types and page metadata. Previously, modifications were invisible in the audit log, making content updates easier to monitor.
GraphQL API Enhancements
Modular content of the type Tag is now accessible through the GraphQL API, making it available for headless applications. Advanced search functionality allows users to search for GraphQL IDs, improving content discoverability. These updates enhance flexibility and efficiency for headless implementations.
Permission for Editing Page Sections
A new inline editing permission setting has been introduced for page sections. Editors can now modify a page section directly within the page, without opening it separately.
By default, this permission remains enabled, providing the same functionality as before. When disabled, page sections can only be edited after explicit opening, preventing unintended modifications across multiple pages.
