XperienCentral R50

November 12, 2025

Release 50 (R50) centers on the launch of XperienCentral’s completely redesigned rich text editor. This update goes beyond visual improvements, offering enhancements that streamline content editing, improve performance, and simplify workflow for editors and content managers.

What's new in R50

Rich Text Editor – Redesigned from the Ground Up

The new editor provides a more structured and efficient approach to content editing. Core improvements include:

  • Inline Tables: Tables can now be edited directly on the canvas, supporting standard table operations as well as nesting layouts, personalizations, and other components.
  • Outline View: A dedicated view of content structure makes navigation through nested components clearer. Custom selection logic allows editors to move through content layer by layer.
  • Quick Image Insertion: Upload images or select from the Content Repository directly in the editor without creating a separate image element.
  • Drag-and-Drop and Placement Assistance: Components can be repositioned freely, with visual guides showing valid drop areas for precise placement.
  • Component Toolbars: Contextual toolbars provide relevant options for selected components, including layouts, elements, and personalized blocks.

These updates focus on reducing unnecessary clicks, making common actions faster, and providing clearer feedback during content editing.

Performance and Efficiency Improvements

R50 delivers faster load times and reduced network load. Large content items now load 10–20% faster, and network requests for content have decreased by approximately 15%. These improvements ensure smoother editing experiences, particularly for complex content structures.

Personalization Made Simpler

Managing personalization variants has been streamlined. The updated interface removes previous complexity, allowing editors to configure content variants more efficiently.

Configuration Flexibility

All rich text options, including inline tables, headers H4–H6, and
personalization features, can be enabled or disabled per channel. This ensures
that teams can tailor the editor to their workflow requirements.

Looking Ahead

R50 establishes a new baseline for content editing in XperienCentral. By combining structural clarity, improved performance, and streamlined workflows, the redesigned editor supports both day-to-day content creation and more complex editorial tasks.
